Neil Gaiman

I’ve been making a list of the things they don’t teach you at school. They don’t teach you how to love somebody. They don’t teach you how to be famous. They don’t teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don’t teach you how to walk away from someone you don’t love any longer. They don’t teach you how to know what’s going on in someone else’s mind. They don’t teach you what to say to someone who’s dying. They don’t teach you anything worth knowing.

    • I just got Sandman recently, and have just been leafing through it so I can’t say I’ve read it yet. Previously, I’d only read his American Gods and The Ocean at the End of the Lane. Have you got anything else of his to recommend me?

      • I’m like you!
I’m new to the genre but very much interested in it.
Here are some graphic novels which I’ve added to my wishlist,if it is of any interest to you:

        Maus – Art Spiegelman
        Persepolis – Marjane Satrapi
V for Vendetta – Alan Moore
        Bone – Jeff Smith

And of course, The Sandman series – Neil Gaiman!

        • I loved Persepolis, got an English translation as a gift from my closest friend a few years back. I’ve since read it in French as well, and have seen the movie, so I guess I’m quite the fan 🙂

I haven’t read the others, will add them to my list, thank you!
